bearing press?

Was out in the shop yesterday and was thinking it sure would be nice to have a way of pressing out bearings. At least better than my normal ways, a hammer and socket or a piece of allthread and assorted sockets and washers.
So have any of you got a source of a small bench style press, or any tips on fabricating one.

What type of bearings? Wheel or steering? There is an inexpensive wheel bearing removal set on eBay that apparently works very well. Steering stem bearing races respond well to a BFH and a large punch :)

you can warm the cases around the bearings with a propane torch, they will come out with ease

get an assortment of valves from some big diesel engines, they work good for tapping in seals and bearing races.when the valve stem starts to mushroom just cut a little off and go back to tappingB)
Still recovering, some days are better than others.
