Just finished building a motorcycle lift

I bought some plans for a motorcycle lift and got it finished yesterday. Not 100% finished yet, I still need to build the front wheel clamp. In the pics it is at it's lower level but it goes much higher. I built it for around $150. It is made of plywood with lots of stringer supports. The scissor lift action is made with 3/4in black iron pipe. It is very strong and will hold 1000lb. Also came with plans for a ramp and a large roll around work table. It has casters on one side and is light enough for me to lift onto it's side and roll it around and store it against a wall to save space. I am happy with it so far and I am glad I built one instead of buying one. The plans are in PDF form. Comes with a complete materials list as well. If you want the plans I will email them to you. All you need to do is donate $5 to the best motorcycle site on the web.. KZrider.

I will get a few better pics later. I got a full sized jack today at an auction so now it will go to it's full height.

I'm more interested in the blue rear stand and how you made that work with a KZ than anything else.

I have a FZR box swingarm on the bike but I have used the swingarm stand with other KZ, GS and CB with no problems. With a round swingarm it is not as sturdy but still not going to fall off. The pads are adjustable for different width swingarms. Only thing it won't work with is shafties.

Okay then, Are those stands universal in the manner they lift or is the one you have special in some way. I have one 650 without a center stand (mount is broken off the frame) so I'd like some way to lift the rear wheel.

Close up pics and a source for the stand would be handy. Hint, hint. :)

I just bought one of these stands recently, $50.
Would work great for those missing a centre stand:
