ive always thought these bikes were spiffy looking but have only seen one up close once. it was stock and the guy running it wasnt exactly going to sell anytime soon. but now theres one in my area going for 2k or obo and im wondering if itd be a decent bike to have. i know its the fz engine plugged into a maxim-ish chassis but ive always never heard anyone really talk about them and they were only around for how many years? two? would this be wise or should i chase after the cherry 78 650 sr for sale up north for 1575 with only 15k miles? any ideas guys. pros and cons?

I believe the FZ700 used the FZ750 chassis
from 85.The fz was a great bike.I saw one
Fazer that had a FZR 1000 motor installed.
He had a FZ1000 over ten years before Yamaha
did.I would check it out.My cousin had a SR650.
It was a good looking bike and fit him well,he
is 5'7".At 5'11" and used to my KZ1000,it felt
small to me.The FZ700 is sized about between the
two and is as fast as a stock KZ1000.

I rode a Radian of that year when it came out, great wheelie machine, fun bike.

For close to 2K though, I would look for something much newer. But that is me.
