Hey 4R,
Pretty sure that prior to 1996 the Vulcans were four speeds. The addition of a fifth gear was a welcome upgrade when it finally came out.

I know the newer Vulcans are great. My bro has had two Mean Streaks and loved them a lot. They had hydraulic valves and fuel injection, both making it a low-maintenance bike. Local stealers were selling 2003's for about $6k but would come down a lot.

Based on how much they have changed I'd probably look at a newer bike than this one unless you really like the Vulcan. Also it's hard to say what it may sell for since there are some days left on it.

The Vulcan actually looks pretty good, I'm not sure what better deals you could get though.

On a side note... I should stop opening E-bay auctions at work ;o)

I didn't have any pics with me and my KZ's but here's one of me and my Vulcan. You can tell which is which because the Vulcan is the better looking of the two.

KZ, With the spunk you've got you must ask your self every morning, "who painted that white in my hair?" (it was probably your kids but they'll never admit it.)
