Not really BS just a little out of the ordinary. Of course it is not ACTUALLY stainless steel just a silver colored paint. Some manufacturers sell appliances painted with a similar material. It looks as good as stainless, but is still magnetic (for the kiddos grade cards and paintings) and does not show the fingerprints as much (from the kiddos showing off said grade cards and paintings). If my stuff weren't old and in need of replacement I would consider something like this, seems a bit pricey though.

Ad says good to 300 degrees, not good enough for exhaust, I'm thinking about the frame though,

The rustoleum hammertone and aluminum finish both look real good if you are careful and coat with clear afterwards and cost a fraction...

Some stainless steel is magnetic, and some isn't. I'll probably get this backwards, but IIRC, 300 series SS is magnetic and 400 series is non magnetic.

I don't care what they call the stuff, I can't see the missus turning me loose on her appliances with a paint brush and can of paint hehe
