I preferred the slightly rearward parts so the switch was made. The peg brackets I've got have been repainted with epoxy primer and urethane top coat. Anyway, they are sitting in a box if you want to simplify and move the pegs forward by a couple of inches for more hip clearance.
I also prefer the slightly rearward position. When I looked at LTD & Spectre shifter, it was only to check it they would be valid donor bikes (but they aren't). But thanks anyway for your offer!

Any opinion about the "mission cover" not supporting the shifter shaft? I'm copying below what I previously wrote. Thanks!

However, I'm less sure about the "mission cover" (called like that on Partzilla). As far as I can see on the parts diagram (Picture below), the way this cover is made, it looks like it does not support the shifter shaft. It does have an oil seal the shaft goes through but looks like there nothing more. I believe the shifter shaft is held only by its both ends and that when the sprocket cover is removed, the shaft wobbles a lot because its outer end becomes unsupported. Do you see it that way?

Yup, it's true that the transmission cover doesn't support the shaft. I had forgotten that but confirmed by looking at some parts on ebay.

I agree 100%; this was my first option. However, I ignore where I could find some locally and I wanted to process quickly. So, I got some pieces of copper tubing that I'm currently working on. I'll let you know the results when finished.
Thanks again for the comments guys!

Does anyone knows what are those frame brackets for? I believe they are for optional engine guards but please confirm.
Thanks!

Those videos wouldn't show up for me so I couldn't see your wobble.
A pressed in bronze bushing would work best but if the hole is big enough you could try some shim stock.
can you shove a feeler gauge in beside the shaft?

Yep - they look like the bottom mounts for engine guards.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationNo eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationOne more question: The sight window on the front brake master-cylinder is quite yellowish. On partzilla, I see that it was not available by itself but can it be replaced anyway?
Thanks!
