All plating done! Now to assembly. Was waiting for wheel locks to plate, now I was able to mount tire. It is PITA, but wasn't bad, really. I guess I am getting good at it. Even with wheel locks it was fine. Of course I first forgot to put rim tape, good thing I realized it before putting other side of tire in. Then, I forgot to make holes in rim tape (heated bolt with a torch and melted them through). Then I put valve stem into wrong hole. Anyhow, som busted knuckles and it's done. No pinched tubes
Next will be roller. I want this thing to be move-able. At what point is it easiest to put motor in? Should I do it while I have just a frame?

Any advice on that? I figured I will need some help, but what is the best time for engine to go in?

Some more progress. Rear wheel installed, I didn't torque anything yet (where I may take it apart again)
Front end - assembly in progress. All nice chrome, bolts, chased/cleaned threads. Coming together nicely so far (questions in separate topic on triple tree). Roller will be ready soon!

Looks great. The wear pointer is on the wrong end of the range. It needs to be near the “e” of range.

Looking like a roller. Just loosely assembled, but it's portable now. Ready for engine.

It’s a roller! Not picking but want you to be safe, and maybe this is just your “assembled loosely” but your front axle clamp are not correct. The front nut gets tighten first, then the rear leaving the gap in the rear.

Hey! I appreciate it. Also it is loose assembly- I want to know about things.
when I do final - I read book for torque values so it probably will be mentioned there. But anyways- reason for posting all the pictures is so people see and perhaps notice stuff.
on brake disks I did final torque on bolts but didn’t bend those lock washers just in case..

09 Aug 2022 02:45As Mikaw mentioned, the axle clamp has a arrow mark that has to be pointed into the driving dircetion. It’s a roller! Not picking but want you to be safe, and maybe this is just your “assembled loosely” but your front axle clamp are not correct. The front nut gets tighten first, then the rear leaving the gap in the rear.

Newer models have the arrow. Older ones don't.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.
