I don't get it either. I've ridden bikes for 54 years and have never considered putting the side stand up as a major (or even minor) inconvenience. In fact, if the side stand went up automatically I agree with TexasKZ that it seems like it would increase the chance of dropping the bike. Suicide stand is a good description. If I bought a bike with that type stand I would change it back to a normal stand. Ed

Ordered banjos and braided line for the oil cooler set up.
Getting into the electrical today, lots of connectors needed and a few components as well.

If you're going to be working on electrical stuff I HIGHLY recommend you buy a roll of F4 tape. This stuff really is great! It does not stick to the wires at all, but is does permanently stick to itself. So if you wrap a set of wires with it it never turns gooey from heat or age, and it never leaves any residue on the wires. One roll goes a long way because to activate the adhesive one stretches the tape first. I've used it for several years on a wide variety of projects and I highly recommend it. The image shows orange tape, but it also comes in black. Ed

And got about 90% done with the oil cooler lines. Need another 90 bend to clear the header.
Had some time and parts today

Boring update
Dropped off all the hard parts for powder coating
Got a few odds and ends in the mail
Have all the electrical parts minus the battery so will be tackling the harness this weekend
Very little left t do until the carbs go on
Getting excited to hear it run

When you get your bike finished you will have to take it on the Slimey Crud Run. Hope I can get mine there.

That would be ideal and I’m hoping to take this bike but I’ll probably end up on my zx10. Looking forward to the ride though like I do every winter haha
