Vic,
I've been wanting to make a nice billet headlight bucket for some time. This one will go on my adventure bike, a DR650 Suzuki. The rear of the bucket is big because there is lots of wiring I need to hide and protect. I have several of the 8 inch headlights to build around too. One of those will end up on my B3 twin.

nice! very industrial. I could see that protruding from some type of of Dakar type fairing. have you put any thought into the oil cooler for the kz? I have the stock one sitting on my work bench and i'm wondering if its possible to just drill and tap the existing cover for some AN fittings

I don't think the oem cover can be modified to work properly so I will have to make one that will work
I think a freshly blue printed oil pump will be a good idea when installing a cooler
It looks like the counter shaft cover will need to be modded for this to work
I will design the cover to work with big AN fittings so the system flow rate is maintained

I have been working on this ignition cover for several months off and on whenever I have a short downtime. They're finally finished. I based them off the badges on the early Kawasaki exports. I designed it in CAD and had it 3-d printed so I could take a rubber mold off of it and then cast it in wax. First time ever casting aluminum, which I poured myself, so no photos. I did get some photos of the bronze being poured. They came out ok, but the final casting was very rough and porous. Lots of filing and sanding later they look pretty good.....good enough for an ignition cover. I also made some bronze belt buckles from a mold I took off an KZ650 ignition cover.
