Re: Phoenix Fighter

I know how that goes. When I munged up the one piston, I bid on some 1015 barrels and stock pistons. The bike was running but smoking. I figured I'd scored my 903 barrels. They were marginal anyway. To my horror I found the destroyed piston. They were two months old. Needing the bike I installed the stock pistons and put the new Wiseco ring sets on the shelf. That's what I'm running now. If the 550 sale goes through, I'll order one piston I found on eBay brand new/W rings, $112 free shipping, the gaskets and tear it down and put it together the next day. I've been collecting things for this and will be ready to do it. Z1E wanted too much for the piston and gaskets so I had to wait. When I do this if all works out, I'll take pics and measurements to put another issue to bed one way or the other.
I tried to do it all at one time but something came up. SHT happens.

Thanks guys. They're marked K 1015 Wiseco's # 4020M0708. I found a place that will sell them by piece W rings. $112 free shipping. I bought 4 sets of rings so I'll have a spare set. $11? so what.

OMR, that's an 03-06 600RR integrated tail lighthttp://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav=item.view&id=321619930942&alt=web
As for fitment, you can look a few pages bag in the thread. The TL has 2 molded prongs for mounting on a Honda. I used JB plastic weld on the under side of the duck bill then pressed the light into it to form a lip for the prongs to hang on. Then I filled the rest of the gap also with JB plastic weld. It's still not an absolute perfect fit but it looks pretty good, especially now that it's painted.
