Silver accents look good.

Question on your rear sets. Have you put your feet up or stood on them yet? Curious about them flexing being that you are using spacers as that's exactly what I was going to do on my 750 lol

Julian,

The way I had them setup before yes. They where pretty solid, you can see that a few pages back. In the current config no, as I do not have the spacers in place yet. Once I do, I will give it the once over and report back, but I suspect they will be just fine.

easy for me to say no it looks slick like it is. but if I were doing it I would keep going til it was too much lol

the silver would tie it together. my girl always says try it you can always go back and paint it again (obviously she likes sanding lol)

I may have to take you guys advice and polish them up and see how it looks. Will need to get it sat in the frame first so we have a good visual. :)

I will have to do some research on the best way to polish this stuff up.

Jack, if you want a mirror shine on them, just do a three stage wet sanding (600, 1000, 1500) and then follow up with a buffing wheel (got my bench buffer from HF for $32) using a soft metal polish compound. The trick after is keeping them like that. I understand a beeswax based wax (not a polish) will keep them protected and won't dull the shine. Don't know where to get that. The closest I found was a a Carnauba/Beeswax combination. Don't know if Carnuba wax is good for aluminum or if it dulls it. Do not use a silicone based wax on aluminum. It will dull it. I am doing my forks like that right now. And I find that if I do a good job on the sanding process, the mirror shine with the buffer comes easy. The engine looks awesome!

Thanks Joe.. I figured I would definetly start by sanding them down and smoothing them out. I have a buffing wheel, so I can get that done. I just hope my patience holds in there.. lol

If I could get them to look half as good as this it would be a success..

These are gwolever
