Man, I grew up in Leesburg and remember when that event was more cars then bike back in the day! I may not have it done in time, but I will definitely be there on one of the bikes, you going? What about Daytona?

Yea I am not sure what I am gonna do with that yet, been looking at it for days. Like the original light, but could do something more modern, but like the original light, but something blacked out would be cool.. but.. you get the drift..

We shall see..

Yeah Baby!!! I'm going. Twenty-five miles from my house. We'll have to hook up. Wouldn't mind checking out the Miss Leesburg Bikefest contest . The day of reckoning (shakedown ride) is soon upon me. Would love to do Daytona, use to do it every year before I got married (last time was 2001). The Harley Demo rides, Booth Hill bar, and another blues/jazz bar which I forget the name. Ha, saw a biker brawl at that blues bar once. The band (Stray Cats sounding one) just kept on playing during the fight. It was hilarious, like out of a movie. The guy just kept on plucking that Bass while all hell broke out. Would love to come, but considering I'm already doing the Relay Rally around the same time I don't think I can swing it.

In between down pours and race delays I managed to get a few things done on the bike. Nothing major but every little bit helps.

After moving the thing around a dozen times, I found a mounting spot that I am happy with for the Microsquirt and bent up a new battery/equipment tray to go under the seat.

Here is where I decided to mount the Microsquirt. I made some little barrell mounts, angle cut them and put one on both sides. Worked out pretty good and she is pretty solid. I think it should be pretty well protected in this location.

Here are a couple shots of the tray. I am gonna be adding a secondary tray that will roll up to the rear fender area to finish that area off. I may also add another smaller one just in front of this one under the MS, kinda like a trough, but not sure yet.

I'm really looking forward to someone here getting an FI setup working on one of these bikes. That might be in the long range plan for my bike. However, the smoothbores work so well on my bike that I can't really find the motivation to change.

Ok, guys need some input. I am looking at ways to mount the throttle bodies and have a couple ideas on how I can use a reduce to flare down to the stock boots, but was curious what other ideas you guys might have.

The TB's are 56mm (ext) and I need to step down to 34mm (int) / 45mm (ext) on the stock boots.

Ideas?

custom aluminum intakes that bolt to the head and has the same o.d as your tb's with an internal taper that makes the transition between the tb and the head a smooth transition.
a piece of rubber hose over the outside, with clamps, seals and holds the tb to the intake.

or maybe some other way  :P ,

You volunteering Leon? B)

I was actually thinking the same thing last night. That would be the best option probrably. I did find some larger holders that may work.

I may order one to see how it lines up, but ultimately I think the custom units would be a nicer fit and finish.
