kz650 bobber project
30 Jul 2008 17:07
well this bike has already gone through a complete facelift.....now i want something different! what we started with is a kz650 b1 when i bought it it was a burnt red color and a buddy and I decided to give her a military paint job.I like it as it sits, and it attracts alot of attention but its not really what i want yet, so heres the start of a 50's style bobber. I stripped off the excess body panels and tail section today, started to tackle the wiring ( all i need is a headlight, tail/brake light, and ignition) and i'm weeding everything out. heres a cpl of pics, feel free to chime in with any suggestions.

im keeping the same paint scheme, gonna finish up the wiring mess this afternoon, ordered a solo seat off of ebay, and next week I'm gonna start welding up the swing arm kinda like this....
this seems to be the best way for me with limited tools and no jig, again feel free to add any ideas,im always open to hear new ideas.

NICE! :woohoo:
I just may have to try something like that with my spare/parts bike next year.
