This is my project bike a 77 KZ1000 A-1. Its really a little A1 LTD and ME. I’ve been working on this now for almost 2 years. I got this bike totally free. The funny thing is It’s not really free.
Between Ebay and Z1 and numerous other parts places I’ve spent a fair share of money on this old girl. I really wished I never sold my Z1 I had before I went into the service. I can’t afford one now. The engine has only 14K logged and really is a strong runner.

I just wanted to thank everyone here for all the help. I really would not have been able to do this without this website. Great information and the people are very willing to help

Yes I do. The only reason the ignition cover is off is because I had just finished installing the DynaS and I was putting the timing light to it.

I need to get 2 side covers though. I figure aftermarket are good enough and I won't pay a fortune for them and they won't blow off either.

Looks Great! I hope to eventually get my hands on a good KZ900 or bigger. Just not that many in the area that people are willing to get rid of.
