Here we go. Dunno if this is going to push the limits for KZrider too far in originality, but what the heck.

This is my new project bike, purchased a short while ago to keep me out of trouble. Got it form a great guy on Lorcans www.750turbo.com website. Thanks Pasc.

Anyway to cut to the chase its a Kawasaki ZX750E1 turbo thats been reframed by a sadly now defunct company by the name of Kooter Brown here in the UK. The frame dates from about 1989 and uses a lot of the Kawasaki's running gear.

The original forks and rear suspension are fitted but I may have to do some work on these as the forks in particular feel might strange.

The tank is in aluminium and is lovely. The rear tailpiece need work and I think I'll will try my hand at metal forming and remake it in aluminium to match the tank. Needs to be able to take as much of the electrics as possible inside as well.

The engine needs a bit of work on the sump to stop an oil leak, so will come out. Will run it up on the starter to check the cold compression levels first, but I believe its fine.

Lots of electrics. Lights all round and will try and make the wiring as inconspicuous as possible.

Paintwork. Not much really. Wasn't sure on the red frame at first but its growing on me.

Wheels. These are 18" Magnesium Dymags. Need to sort the paint on both really, especially the front. And get a disc made up to fit the rear as well. Some strange 7 bolt fixing. Dymag aren't too helpful sadly.

Theres bound to be loads of other stuff but if it takes a few years then so be it. Its never even been road registered yet so a few more years waiting isn't going to hurt.

Congrats, that's a way cool special. I don't really care for that huge boxy tail, if you're redoing it I'd make something a little smaller (if possible with the electrics you have to hide in there) to make that gorgeous aluminum tank stand out even more! Those Dymags are niiiice... keep us posted on the project!

Fantastic score! Stiff frame with better geometry and lighter weight than the Kawasaki frame, and much less unsprung weight. Looks good too. That's going to be a really nice ride.

And hanging out with the mad blokes on Lorcans site is the thing to do, I bet they could fill a articulated lorry with all the parts they have binned

Watch out for Lorc, he'll have you building that motor into a 250 hp monster before you know it

Be sure and ask him if he's checked the air in his tires
