The tail piece was sanded out today and primed.

The swingarm mounts are done and welded into the frameset now. All unnecessary brackets and tabs are removed, and the frame has been plugged at the rear where the stock subframe has been removed. There's some finishing work to be done on this to clean it up the rest of the way, but it's roughed anyhow.

The front upper engine mounts are done too. Just need to cut and notch then weld these into place. Then the engine can be hoisted in, bolted up, positioned, and measured so I can fabricate the rear upper engine mounts.

There's a picture of the spoked wheels in here too... and there's also a member on KZR that is planning on buying them so they likely won't be going on this project. (Though I must admit that I look at them and miss them already. I was only planning on selling them because I needed to pay for the motor for my hot rod. :()

Anyhow, here's some pics.

Nah, she's a ford. A RARE one at that. :)

It's a 34' steel cab and grille, with both doors, and all small parts. (Window cranks, A/C (cowl vent. haha), etc.)

It's getting a custom frame, an Olds 371 Golden Rocket tri power, Camaro 6 speed trans....

For the build style, kind of a modified/pickup cross. Basically, picture a "modified" running a pickup cab instead of a roadster body. B)

Hey Caffcruiser,

Are you going to be putting a GSXR front end on the bike as well? I have a 06' GSXR600 front end that I am mounting on my 79' 650. Just looking for some insight on what to do about the cups for the stem bearings and such. Any help is appreciated.
