I already had a set of passenger pegs and brackets from a R1 for this bike but wasn't really feeling them after looking at them sit on a shelf for years.

I was browsing eBay one day when I found the perfect passenger peg brackets. They're from a Suzuki Rf600. I cut off the unneeded bits and sanded them smooth with my belt sander. I still need to fab a clean mounting solution and find some matching round pegs to match my Tarozzi pegs.

Thanks Leon.

I'm trying to decide if I want to do a couple threaded bungs that match the spacers on the brackets or just make a plate, or a couple of tabs, with welded nuts to the backside to attach the brackets to the frame. Suggestions?

That is very nice! B) How thick of plate is that? I assumed you made the bracket?

sorry to mislead you sir :pinch: ,that was made by the sanctuary guys.

i would use 3/8's thick plate.

a good rule of thumb is.
you want to have more thread engagement(depth) than the diameter of the bolt going into it.

Time to start converting USD to Yen! j/k

I have some 1/4" stuff but I'll see if I can't dig up something thicker.

I finalized a spacer/washer for the rearset brackets. I picked up some Zx14 footpeg mounting bolts. The bolts have a 13mm head, 10mm shoulder and 8mmx1.00 threads to match the threads I tapped into the mounting studs. I got all four roughed out but only two finished. They have a couple different shoulders to fit nicely in the footpeg bracket and are counter-bored to let the bolt sit almost flush.

And the mess I gladly cleaned up.

Since I haven't done much with my GPz the last few weeks due to really cold temps and the holidays, I thought I might as well create a new wiring schematic for the bike since I'm adding in new switches plus a shift light, air shifter, nitrous system and nitrous controller as some point.

It's not finished but here's what I have so far. I know there are a bunch of black lines but some of them are grey or brown and don't show up too well. I'm also sure I made mistakes but there is a bunch of new circuits and all the new electronics seem to be interconnected.

Later, Doug
