They're on.

I was gonna do a step by step on mounting these and swapping to roller bearings instead of loose ball bearings, but I got done pretty quick and totally forgot.

Anyhow, here's some pics...





Front end is a GSXR 750 standard telescopic. 2002. Bearing and stem are from my KZ650.

Went together like a glove, and unlike the stock loose ball bearings, there is absolutely NO play or weirdness while turning left to right. Just SMOOOOTH.

The last pic is kind of a mock up with the 2004 Yamaha R6 swingarm/shock that is going on the bike. Just to get kind of an idea of perspective. This is however of course NOT the angling the swingarm will seat at.

Well, the above, plus:

-Big bore high compression KZ650 based motor
-530 conversion
-40 spoke 17's, 3.5 front 5.5 rear using R6 rear and GSXR front rotors, KZ Hubs, and KZ drive gearing...
-Custom hand made aluminum tank and seat (cafe style with a twist )
-MIG lamps
-Custom subframe
-Rearsets
-Underseat exhaust
-custom harness, no starter, keyless, kickstart only
-pilot sport tires
-CV carbs
-port and polish KZ650 head with GPz750A cams/adjustable can gears
-Electrosport digital speedo/tach/computer

That's about it... I think.

Those forks look awesome..I love the colour. Its almost like a gunmetal gray.

Thanks much. I'm gonna work on designing the swingarm mounts tonight if I can find the time.

You're welcome - It makes me want to take my forks apart and paint the lowers too. They're kinda banged up and in need of some spiffying up. I'll be messing with the front end anyways, so I might as well, eh?

Bike looks good except the front end is from a 01-03 Gsxr600. 750's have the USD forks like the 1000's. Did you have any problem with the steering stem swap? I have the same forks for my 1000 but I'm going to use the stock (Gsxr) stem. It's long enough to get a nut on. Then I'm going to use the triple clamp and stem cap nut to lock everything together. Good luck!

Glad you caught that. haha I typed that half asleep after working the 12 hour shift from 5:30a.m. to 6:00p.m. They are in fact 600 forks.

I had a sleeve made and the stem pressed into the GSXR clamp.

If you want to do the easiest way possible, thats it. I can get you in touch with the machinist I use if you want. Hes really good, prices are GREAT, and on top of that, he just did mine, so if you talked to him there'd be no mystery as he's done it before.
