Hello from Utah

Hey! I'm a new owner of a very...rough... 1983 KZ750K Twin LTD. Mostly came here looking for parts and some answers. Gas tanks are my next purchase it seems, while I wait for an airbox from Australia.   What should I be looking for, What years are able to switch gas tanks? Mine is definitely past the repair stage, as the previous owner seemed to believe JB Tank Weld was a replacement for the entire gas tank.

Thanks!

It's still surprising what some people think is good enough. Good luck on your search for a decent tank, I know it can be tough. Post some pictures of what you're starting with.

Welcome.
Hopefully someone will have a lead on a desent gas tank.
I don't believe any other model other than the 750 twin's tank will fit.
I hope I'm wrong.

Greetings from a fellow Utard in SLC!
You might have some luck checking out Bob's Boneyard in West Valley or Grim Cycle Salvage in Orem for that tank. The Boneyard in particular is fun to visit; kind of a rat's nest of old Japanese bikes and parts.
Now where's the pics of your bike?
Is this thing working? Is this thing on?
