Hi all, already riding the kz700 since 2015 i think. I had a lot of issues with carburation in the beginning - later on i found out there were adjustment screws hidden for the mixture seeting. Once I found that out did some other maintenance and enjoying the looks and rides with this beauty!
recently stumbled on this great site because of some issues with the clutch release on which i will respond on that forum topic.

I thought the 700 was a USA specific model, designed to avoid the tariff at 750cc back in the day? Or, maybe that bike was an import?

I believe there was also a tax bracket in Japan that made 750 and above available only to the wealthy. Either way imports from Japan and the USA poured into Europe by the container load in the 80’s and 90’sI thought the 700 was a USA specific model, designed to avoid the tariff at 750cc back in the day? Or, maybe that bike was an import?
