New Member, '73 Z1 Basket

Good Morning Pete! I hadn't heard back from you in some time so I finished up the head previously shown and it was sold to a Friend in North Carolina, Sorry.. There's a Gent named Jake Cooper, he buys a lot of these Z's. You can find him on Facebook Marketplace. I've talked to him a couple times on the phone so he's a real person.

There is a former drag bike head on ebay, this one:   Kawasaki 1973-80 KZ Z1 Dragbike Yoshimura Ported 900 Cylinder Head w/SS Valves | eBay   I messaged the seller and he says he thinks the cam caps are original to the head.  No way for me to verify.  This one has a couple spots (tool marks/gouges) that I do not know if they will seal with the head gasket or if a skim cut will be needed to clean up the head.  It's already been decked 0.025" so that is getting pretty tight for a motor that is a mild resto.  I'd appreciate any thoughts you might have on this head.  I will also contact the seller you mentioned.  

Finding a decent head is turning out to be a real problem.  Cylinder blocks and pistons are no problem.  Thanks Clay!  Pete

Thanks Clay, very much appreciate that effort.  I actually bought a head from Mr. Brad Oink yesterday and hopefully it's on its way to the machinist by now.  Thanks again though!
