Hello Peeps from SA
27 Aug 2025 21:30
Hi from a NZ’er in South Australia. Recently bought an ‘81 z1100st A1 and an ‘80 z750E but as you’ll (hopefully) see, they need a bit of a buff before they’re roadworthy. I’ve been riding on and off for about 45yrs and have the scars to prove it, but only a few. Had a few Z’s over the years, 250, 650, and a particularly scary z1000j with a liquorice frame, my daily ride is a GSX 1400 but hopefully you won’t hold that against me. I’m an ex aviation mechanic and love the spannering, currently restoring an ‘85 FJ1100 so might be a while before I post any more zed pics but have already had a taster of the wealth of information and knowledge on the site. Looking forward to discussing the finer points of waffle grips vs foam, or some such bumf. Keep it rubber side down.

28 Aug 2025 22:10 - 28 Aug 2025 22:15Thanks Bro, could be a while as polishing my Fj fork lowers is taking forever then there’s the Gpz1100 to sell on (won at auction) - no dfi but RS34’s fitted so we’ll have some “fun”? sorting that first. So many bikes, so little money 🤪Welcome to KZRider...it will be nice to watch you resurrect those KZ's.

Yes, know it well, I bought 2 GSXF1250’s from there over the years, it is now a Harley dealership (same owner Andy), which seems to be doing well 😁
I have gone full circle and now own a 1977 (1976) Kawasaki KZ650b1 which you can see in this years bike of the month on this site.
Rich.
