Hello from San Francisco

Greetings. I’ve been a member for a while but never got around to introducing myself. I usually ride vintage British bike, specifically BSA but I’ve always admired the Z bikes. My first bike was a CSR 1000! Last year I picked up a real piece of junk Z1 and Ive been restoring it. I need lots of advice so thanks in advance!

Welcome from central Texas...I picked up a Z2 in sad shape and am also learnng my way through a restoration.

You've Arrived!! A wealth of info abounds here. I love me some crusty Z1!! Which iteration/year? There is also secluded within a Gent that has vast experience in British bikes, who would of thought?? I suppose we've had a wealth of collective knowledge fiddling with this and that thru/between marriages, ha. Last BSA Hornet i'd had i bought at 12ys old and sold it for trip money (100USD) and a guitar and i don't even begin to know how to play a guitar, ha. Great source of Info, not that tatty "Google" crap and availability for those long lost NLA items ya can't just walk into a dealership and find..anymore. PICs Please!!
