you are right. the pick up coil was damaged. I'm going to trade for Ignitech or Dynatek

1982 KZ1000 LTD parts donor
1981 KZ1000 LTD slowly moving toward resurrection
2000 ZRX1100 not ridden enough

classic sports filter + cover. I have a foam insert under the cover to reduce air flow and increase filtration.
