Hi, I am a first time poster, not new to online forums. I've been riding motorcycles for 45 years, owned a couple of Z1 and KZ in the 70's. Currently ride a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14.

After several months browsing the internet looking for a bike to restore, finally this 1978 Kawasaki KZ 1000 LTD popped up for sale only 5 miles from my house. For a 41 year old motorcycle, the bike seems to be in excellent shape, only 26,000 miles. I don't like the LTD look, so I'll probably be making changes to the bike ....bigger rear wheel, Z1 fuel tank, etc.

My apologies in advance if I make any mistakes, English is my second language; and I am still learning to navigate this forum.
