Hi,
I'm sort of new to the forum... mostly been watching from afar. In need of help. How do you make the forum 'search' work? I type in and nothing happens. No 'GO' or 'ENTER'. Also I'm logged in to KZR and can not get logged in to forum 'Archives', what's the trick? It says my user/pass is invalid.

My search is for info re: VIN #'s. Were the frame # and the engine # the same from the factory? I bought an out of state 77KZ1000 and they used the engine# for the VIN on the title. My state uses the frame# as VIN.... so ..troubles brewing. My understanding is they were different, but try 'splainin that to the BMV!

Just press enter on your keyboard once you've typed in your search info.
Frame numbers and engine numbers never match, except on maybe the early Zs.

As far as the Archives, you don't need to log on. You cannot add a reply to any post, only read whats there.

stupid Wisconsin BMV...

Just have to get a form from the bmv and have a cop do a check on the bike and fill out the form.I just went thru the same thing.

thanks rskz35. I just stopped in at the State Police post and they concur. I'm going to attempt to get them to allow my new title to reflect the frame # as VIN. What are the chances? hope nothing comes up stolen:unsure:
