I think it is too good to pass up too. It has new tires but does need a new chain.
Just the swingarm and shocks alone are worth good money on this site. lol

This is a photo of the police wheel, ZRX shocks, and Zephyr arm on my 1980 B4.
I have also included a photo of the clutch cover and ignition housing, and a photo of the YZF600r forks I am using with R1 monoblock calipers and a stock front wheel, and a photo of the YZF600r taillight mod, and a photo of the police tank, billit fuel cap, bar mounts, and triple clamp I am using.

Front end, bearings are the same part number for the Gpz and the Zxr, how lucky could I get - went straight in. steering stoppers are close, at least will keep the forks off the tank for mock up. Will probably rotate the clip ons out a bit more, but looks like no machining which I was counting on having to do. Looks like my headlight bracket as i want to run the original fairing.
Swingarm is 25mm to wide, and 10mm off centre at the pivot. So if I take 15mm off one side and 10mm off the other, it should be okay. Yet to measure this accurately though. It has had a hit and bodgy repair on the RHS right where the shock mount will go. Need to have a good look and measure of the whole thing and see if it is worth using it or source a different arm. At least now my other half has the picture of what I am up to and thinks it is a good idea, so that helps.
The plan is to mock all this up in this frame, and once it is set up, transfer it into my black Zed. This one has been having a rest for the last two years, so right now the battery is on the charger and have been fiddling with a few things to get it back to scratch as a base point. Just put the laverda style bars back on as all the cables are set up for that more than the superbike bars, and that is the position I like, so i can be setting the zxr clip ons to the same kind af reach as I go.
Here is the black one as posted in the new members thread:
It has a zx1100 swingarm, zzr front sprocket for offset, and a rear sprocket which has been spaced out by using a standard sprocket machined down to be a disc then second set of holes drilled. 630 x-link chain. I have run a 140 rear tyre with this set up, but it made it steer like crap, it is spot on with the 130 rear. This is a really stable bike, there is some extra bracng at the front and above the swingarm. Never run a steering damper on this bike where i have done on previous zeds. If it starts shaking it's head, I am going way to fast.
Progressive front springs and an odd fork oil weight that I can't remember, koni shocks.
So a few bits and pieces like master cylinder and rego stuff, I want it registered before I start messing with the suspension. Thanks to stalking KZRider, I have remembered how shit hot riding zeds is so I am just keen to get on the bike and ride it right now as it has been too damn long.
So I'll keep you posted on the getting it on the road part, and then see what progress we have with the zxr stuff. There is a plan B here, where I leave the black one as is, and get the zxr gear into another Gpz which I was going to sell to fund the project, but I might sell my rz350 first and that will get me off the hook there.

Whatever you do you need to at least change out the bearings. The front steering bearings would love an update to a set of timpkin (sp?) tapered bearings and the swingarm pivot bearings and shocks should be replaced for better units. That alone will give you much improved handling. As far as extended swingarm on a 650 unless I am way off here that was added to the big power bikes to keep the front wheel down and for looks for those who like the drag racer look. Personally, I don't like the feel of a limo when I drive and to me I rode my friends z1 and I guarantee you this: the handling is NOT improved. He says this and he says that, I say he is full of shit. Whatever, to each their own. I doubt you really need to worry about that but it's just my two cents. Some guys only like the look of a stretched wheel. I am with you on this matter, sure it looks cool but if it hinders the handling why do it?
I think if you do a stock unit I would consider a nice stiffer swinger that is stock but no more than two inch stretch. I rode a bike with a 6 inch stretch and it felt like it took forever to corner, on the city streets it looks cool in reality it's just not useful at all unless you are at the track ripping shit up.
One last thing, if you wanted a bigger rear tire, if you wanted some nice wheels that are wider in back then you will need a swingarm. Depends on what you will do with your bike. When you start the mods so goes the money with a quickness. I have too much already in to my bike that I could have bought a zx14, I think I would rather have kept her stock and just prettied her up and left it at that. After all at the end of the day it will still be a 650 whereas if you spend that money you could easily buy a nice zrx1200r and make your bike look nice and original with a flair for a few nice improvements.

Sorry, I am voting against progressive. Never liked anything I bought from them and if something goes wrong good luck getting them to warrantee anything. The progressive shocks I have bought which were supposedly for my bike made it ride like a ridgid. This goes for the front springs too. I’ve had several sets from them and rode other bikes with them too. I got to one point where I just hated riding. These days I keep the stock stuff as long as it still works. The best shocks I have ever owned and still have are ZRX shocks.
A few years ago I thought I would try a set of progressive air shocks. I really liked them for the first 100 miles I rode. Then, I realized that the chain had rubbed right through the shock body and all the fluid drained out. Called them up and went back and forth about 3 or 4 times and they insisted I modified my bike somehow because they had a guy they knew somewhere who said they fit! They did not refund my money.

Mr. Wog?! Yeah, I called him about lowering a zrx seat. I have seen his work. It is really good. You have a zrx too? I notice the shocks. How about some more pics of the whole bike?
I just picked up two zrx's over last summer and the season past. I loved riding them so much I kind of forgot my kz. So much money on that bike to be spending and not getting where I had imagined. That last build I thought would be the last for many years yet something happened and now I can guarantee you if I have the same issues within 10k I am going to be really POed.

welcome fritula!
the longer forks can keep the bike closer to the stock ride hieght.which will give you more cornering clearance.which depending on your local roads may be a plus.
the shorter forks are going to lower your bike, and the zrx shocks are going to raise your rear end.which will reduce your rake and will make your bike steer quicker.
hopefully i have helped you understand a lil more.
