Just made a note to find that 'evil' looking fairing in the thread for a future project lol. I like what's going on here!
As long as I get to learn something, I'm happy!

I've run an Emgo bullet fairing since my ST days. Keeps the wind off your chest/shoulders and gives you something to duck behind if you encounter that gravel truck and want to pass. Just that I've ridden nikid bikes and hate it when you're getting beaned by small projectiles...

Found this one, NOS, for 20 bones from a private party...

If you ride most of the time in the city, light to light, then no fairing.
If you ride in the country or highway a lot, a fairing is good to have.
I've had one on my KZ for 20+ years.

Personally, I really like the naked KZ650, but I found a video with a small, discreet fairing that looks amazing and, why not, adds some protection when riding on the road.

Still a fairing guy.
Have gone to a smaller fairing on the 650.
The ZRX came with a fairing, and I added a Laminar Lip.
I bought a z750s looking for more fairing.

I like to have at least a small fairing. I just put a National F-16 on the KZ 1000LTD last September but haven't tried it out due to health issues. I've installed a couple of small fairings and always make rear braces so they don't vibrate.

In the 1980's I installed a 1983 Honda CB-1100F Supersport OEM fairing on my bike. Had to DIY a couple of brackets to make it fit, but it worked fine.

We both like a bikini fairing like the Targa fairings on our CB750 Nighthawks that leaves the helmet in clean air / no turbulence.  Buffeting below the shoulders on the chest area is not bothersome and is unavoidable anyway.  Breaking the wind blast on the upper body allows us to relax, not constantly fight against the push.
We tried a laminar lip windshield on out full-faired ST1300A.  It made helmet buffeting worse.  A Cal-Sci windshield 2" shorter than stock is lots better.  slmjim's line of sight is well over the top edge of it; he doesn't like looking through anything other than sunglasses & helmet shield.
