Ultimately it is your decision but it does not look "bad" ... i would have gone black or painted the frame to match:cheer:

I don't really like the looks of crash bars at all, so my opinion would be that whatever you could do to de-emphasize them would be the best route to take. Based on that opinion, black is the best way to go.

Whats wierd is if you had a chin spoiler that was red...it would work. However, as just guards it doesn't. In the words of AC/DC, "BACK TO BLACK"!B)

i think the red looks good, because with everything else black around the engine, it kinda makes the bike look like it has a huge gap and no engine...at least with the red guards, it gives it contrast.....and by the way, its not fair that you have a power coating station:angry:

I agree, I like the contrast. Everybody has black or chrome. be different.

My powder coating station consists of a $25 electric oven, Sears (craftsman) Powder coat gun $160.00. I've used many different coating guns including the HotCoat and the cheap one from Harbor Freight. The Craftsman Gun is the best for the money with less mess and doesn't require the use of an air compressor. The coverage is better and no moisture in gun from airline.
I have a nice Snap On Blast Cabinet just big enough to put a frame in. However, I send the frame out for the Powder Coat.
