you mean the little pin things on the back that center the emblem? why do you want to remove them?

If you mean the little 3mm locknuts (part #92018-005) that push onto the emblem pins, they will not pull off without breaking the pins. I use a dremel cutoff wheel to CAREFULLY cut them into a couple pieces to remove them. Just take care not to cut or nick the little pins that they clip onto or you will need to glue the emblems on. The little locknuts are still available from Ma Kaw, so cutting them off is no loss. Ed

The little locks can be destroyed to remove them as long as you do not break the pins. My pins are knarled up and will not accept the locks any more so I use a mound of epoxy putty on the back where the pin comes through the side cover. A small screwdriver can be used to break away the epoxy for emblem removal at a later date. I have removed them twice using this method.

I purchased some side panel emblems awhile back. I adhered them with heavy-duty double sided foam tape from 3M. That was years ago, they're still stuck like concrete and I can't move them even if I try to pull them loose. This was extremely easy and inexpensive. Easy as pie. Make sure the contact surfaces are extremely clean to ensure the tightest possible hold.

I wish I could remember where I got my emblems so you would not buy them. I bought reproduction tank and sidecover emblems and all the paint flaked off. I bought from to different sources too. I was looking for the best cost so I got what I paid for. I touch them up with duplicolor. :)
