Any tanks from other bike that fit on KZ750E frame?

Was doing some rust removal and found a hole in my tank, would it be better to weld some metal on to it or try to find a different tank?

Depends how bad it is (the area around the hole is likely to be thin from corrosion on the inside) if it's still solid it might be better to "braze" the hole. You can use a pin punch to create a dent where the hole is so that you can get some brass on there (if not the brass will only be filling the hole and could drop out)

Is this for the bike in your avatar (looks like a "KZ750H" not an "E" as per the thread title ? I believe somebody else here put an "E" tank on a "H" but if I remember it wasn't straightforward (had to change the triples etc as the forks were hitting the "E" tank)

Not trying to be a dick, just trying to help you so you don't order/buy parts for the wrong bike (your signature says it's a Ltd)

This may be a needless question, but are you looking at the engine number and not the frame number on the steering neck?

if it's a 750H Ltd. then any of those should physically fit. 1980-83. plus the 81-83 650H CSR which have the same frame.  caution: pay attention to the location of the petcock bung. on some tanks it's more rearward. if not the same as yours, the petcock may contact the carburetor. possible fix for that is a different petcock or fuel valve. one that's more squat. yamaha has some. but then petcock bolt hole spacing is another consideration.

LTD tanks are way easier to find than E tanks.  The confusion comes in though, because Kawasaki made N models, F models, H, and maybe others that were basically LTD type.  I'm not sure, but I suspect some are similar, but how to know?  And what I mean, are some mount the same, have the petcock in the same place, but again, how to know?
