Btw the front signals are after market. I want to replace those eventually as well, but they actually work for now so was planning to address those latter and find some originals. They run white always and when the turn signal is on they flash orange then go back to solid white running lights so fronts are “legally” working properly while rear works just no flash is the issue those turn on and off solid. The wound up black cables are leading to nothing. I disconnected those accessory lights pulled the wires through and left them because electrical system is working as it was before I did anything so didn’t want make something worse by unwrapping that electrical tape and disconnecting completely yet. Was glad nothing changed when i took off the accessory lights from the bars so took that win. Rear signal was acting up no flash before I touched anything.

That underseat wiring is a charlie foxtrot
The rear turn signals appear to be actually wired together in that black/yellow/white/blue twisted - and uninsulated - connection. I think the first step is to remove all of the junk that is not OEM: check the KZR filebase for a service manual and locate the applicable network diagram so you can what is supposed to be there and what isn't.

I shouldn't really say anything yet but i've been drinking too much coffee.
I should be looking at the evidence at bit more.
You have a mix of led and incandescent bulbs for your turn signals.
Your turn signal flasher may be an old style flasher that wants to see only incandescent bulbs.
This will cause the rears not to blink.
This usually happens when one bulb burns out..the lit bulb won't blink.
leds can act like a burnt out bulb because they don't pull enough current.
But the fronts work.
I wonder if the previous owner added a second flasher for the leds or the leds have built in flashers.
You are running switchback lights in the front. (daytime running which switch to turn signals) .
That may be confusing the rears.
Do you have any info on the front turn signals?
You may be able to switch your turn signal flasher to a solid state flasher meant to work with leds and incandescents.
replace the flasher in the green circle with a solid state flasher
I included one example--there are several ones to choose from on the internet.
I chose this one because it has the same shape as your existing one -so mounting it would be easy.

+1 on the non current sensitive flasher relay to start with (I wonder if the fronts have their own internal flasher)
