Carlos have you followed the test procedure in the FSM to determine the sensor is the fault ?

This is going to be very hilariously ironic if he needs a new sensor that I just chopped up.
You should be able to see that the receptacle for the drive sleeve within the sensor and verify that it moved properly. Ex look at sensor position, insert and turn sleeve 90deg, remove sleeve and check position
I doubt your sleeve is the issue at this point. Make sure it's seated properly.

I could not do anything until just now. Got it apart again and measured the sleeve to find it exactly right.
So I guess I am not being able to insert the tangs correctly in the slots.
is there any secret to it? I just keep trying and it never seems to sit right into place!

Did you do the electrical tests to confirm it isn't generating a signal ?

I did in the past, but only for odio and Speedo. Not for the sensor.
why? Because at some point it was working! Odo read for 3,2 miles, then stopped. Speedo never moved.
I will go through the testing procedure for the sensor

Many moons after, I had almost accepted the fact I would no longer have a speedo, as could not figure out why or how it was failing.
Today, I took the bike for a spin, and from the very beginning, the speedo was working perfectly. Actually, both, the speedo and the odometer; which is a really neat surprise.
In compensation, the tachometer has now started to play, and the needle jumps randomly, sometimes 6k, sometimes 4k... but the bike runs like a dream. I searched the forum and I guess I have a loose/earthing connection somewhere.
I will take a look.
Cheers!
