Final analysis?....BS. 44+years of replacing KZ points and something like these start showing up. (Likely explains why they were so cheap) WTH. 99 out of 100 people wld say 'go Dyna ign.!' That's all fine and dandy and I agree and have bikes with Dyna ign. But that's not an option on this one. It's staying stock the way I bought it from the dealer. Oh well, I'll keep shopping until I find the right points. Another supplier has the right ones but "$32 each side" or the pair for $72 shipped lol. Wààaaaaaa!-rant over. Time to chill and start up Rosie's big brother for a ride down the mountain and back! Vroom-vroom! Stay safe everyone.

Probably an aftermarket manufacturer moving toward a more common 'one-widget-fits-more' concept.

It would be much more difficult to make female spade connectors already present on a bike fit old-style Z1 points (sans male spade) than it would be to remove the male spade connectors if not needed. They're probably the same points anyway, just with the spade terminals added.

If you're reasonably close to KY we could assist with male spade terminal removal if you wish.

Rockranch: I agree with slmjim in that this is probably a multiple fit set of points. Manufacturers like combining things like this to make less of a given item. I always go with OEM ignition parts when I can just because there seems to be less chance of having problems later on. Ya never know what you are going to get in that box of aftermarket chocolates. More expensive? Absolutely, but I hate to create my own problems with El-Cheapo parts. Tow bills are expensive. I have noticed with aftermarket points you can look at them and see issues before you even install them. Others may disagree, but I am funny that way and like OEM whenever possible.

Yep. We've seen a few aftermarket points that just will not gap and/or time correctly without 'some fitting may be required', as they say in the firearms hobby.

Thanks for the insight. I am simply dealing with what Z1Ent sent me. I will gladly pay more for good parts.. This bike is ridden very little so I haven't needed new ones for a long time. At any rate, àll is fine now and ordered the other ones. Stay safe.
