Short Stem Signal Lights for KZ650
25 Jan 2019 09:15 - 25 Jan 2019 11:12
I just took a 2001 ZX6E tail light and mounted it upside down as a tail light on my bike. I want the rear to look proportional.
As you can see, Ive kept the original signal stems.
Are shorter stems sold so the signal lights would be closer to the body?

How do you take a headlight and mount it as a tail light?

He probably meant to type tail light. because it doesn't look like a headlight.

It's been a real long time since I've done a 650 but it wasn't that difficult, there is some grinding to make stem fit in the hole and a groove for the screw if I remember correctly.
The ones Martin found would be much easier if they fit the 650

yeah, I was about to say they wont fit. The triangular shaped part doesnt fit in the mounting hole on the bike. I might just cut the original stems down a bit, or leave it alone. I dont want to start cutting up this bike.

The 650 looks different than Z1/KZ900/1000. At the mount. Plus they are spline cut at the blinker.
Most wires connectors slip through with the male connector
Buy another 650 set from ebay and just do it! Sure they are cheap enough.
Cut em up!!! Beat em up!!
Yes shorten them! I have to hack everything up for my 1 off build !
