I may take you up on that offer DoctoRot. I've started on the teardown, hopefully I can do this with out screwing it up. Any tips for splitting the crankcase? Anything that does or doesn't need to be taken off?
you need to insert a 4mm screw into the chain tensioner on the balancer so it doesn't loose its tension. unless you are taking the balancer out of course. other than that is pretty straight forward. I have a bit of spare engine parts, but no pistons or connecting rods unfortunately. LMK if you need anything,
