Taking no chances,
ties a rope to the bridge with noose around his neck,
douses his clothes with gasoline,
holds a loaded pistol to his temple in one hand,
and a lit cigarette lighter in the other hand.
He ignites the gasoline, jumps off the bridge, and pulls the trigger.
He missed,
the bullet shot the rope in two,
and water put out the fire.
If that fellow hadn't been a good swimmer,
he'd have drowned.
