I bought one about 2 months ago. It is "Hella" brand. I bought this along with a HID kit it worked out very nice for me.
75 Z1, 1075cc, Dyna S Ignition, Mikuni RS 34mm, Inverted Forks & Mono Rear Shock.

In general, Hella makes very good quality lights. The 500 driving series I use on my car are almost as good as PIAA or Bosch pencil beams costing hundreds more.

Does this light require a new headlight bucket or will it fit the stock one? Does it draw the same current as the stock light or did you have to do some new wiring?

When you say that you got it with the HID kit. Are you saying that you got the Blue Quartz bulb with it or that you bought the Xenon HID system with the ballast and the wiring harness. This is what I put on my bike. Obvious difference is the shape.

I finally rode it at night last night. It throws out a tremendous amount of light. This is the 6000K bulb so it is light blue. I also have an 8000k bulb which is more blue yet. It only consumes 35W of power but puts out about 3.5 times as much light as my old Quartz Halogen Bulb.

The one I bought was a 7" round.

I also bought a Xenon HID kit...looks a lot like the one in the photos above. I remote mounted the ballast from the headlight bucket. Everything else fit inside.

The HID kit I bought came with a relay to power the kit. No need to worry about the power draw thru the old switches and wires.
