Looks nice and red and lights up the plate pretty well. I think it will work out OK. Thanks for the tips!

By the way, there are clear lenses available for the standard style taillight too. I have some extra LED's and a pair of chrome bulbs that glow red if anyone needs them. As long as the police don't hassle you for purplish or pinkish taillights you'd be fine - I just wanted to be safe.
