Well. I only added a single light, under the fork brace. In preliminary fiddlin' during the daytime, but in a closed garage, it seems to "throw" the beam further than the stock bulb.
After spending the last half hour aiming and playing with the new light, I can give a decent early synopsis. The beam is def. wider than the stock headlight, but after I aimed it, it was equally far, but dimmer at the farthest point. but it sends a wide beam that 'fills out' the stock beam.
Basically, at low beam it is somewhat worthwhile. However, at hi-beam, it is like having an additional low beam to fill out the near-field while throwing a far beam.
In short, it's OK if you spend <$15 like I did, Otherwise, dont spend the cash on cheap car driving lights..

2nd update: I went out to a dark hwy and did 75 in the pitch black. The 2nd light made a huge difference! It just blossomed the reg beam and made it much like my buddy's '06 Z750s with it's factory duals.
All in all I am please excepting 2 things:
1. I ran the batt down while testing and running around town
2. The stupid switch will not stay put with the double sticky tape. Besides, I gotta relocate to somewhere more convenient.

It looks pretty cool there. For less than $15 it's a good deal plus you have a spare. Are you sure the fender won't come up and smack the light on a heavy bump?

Well, I really hope I dont hit a bump that requires 6" of suspension travel!
I fabbed up a switch holder that resides just east of my left grip out of plate aluminum and a push button switch instead of the rocker. I then weather/splashproofed it. Pics to come tomorrow. It's pretty trick, if I do say so myself.

well sh-t, it nicked the top o' the fender and scratched/dented it a bit. Then I took the time to do something I've meant to - check the fork air pressure....0lbs. I bumped it up to 29lbs (25-36 spec) and all of a sudden my forkdive is a memory.
But back to the lights..
Here's the scoop: I added the switch below as I described above, but it nicked the tank at bar lock. That and it was precarious to the wiring when that happened. Stay tuned for the fix...
