Hello, I'm just looking for the stock size for the Jets on this bike and if anyone has any clues on where I should go from there with a set of pod filters and a k&n 4 into 1 with minimal baffle.
Just re sealed the top end, got a dyna ignition and coils, new intake boots, and rebuilt the carbs. I figured I need bigger pilot jets just don't know if the rebuilds I got were stock for this exact model or how different they were between models ( j, a, k, etc.) Or if the bodies mattered like LTD csr police ya know? Any bit to start from would be awesome. She runs good just needs a bit more gas to start if that makes sense.

There's usually a jetting table in the service manual.
The diagrams at Kawasaki.com or Partzilla might list the jet & jet needle sizes as well.

1981-83 KZ1000/1100 & 83-85 KZ1100/ZX1100 manuals. kz1000r.com.
service manuals listed as >>> Kawasaki KZ1000 KZ1100 Service Manual.pdf  ..  GPZ1100_KZ100R_Service_Manual.pdf

The same manuals are found here as well:
zedrider.co.uk --- various service & owner's manuals plus several wiring diagrams & parts lists
73 Z1, 81-83 KZ1000, ZR1100 Zephyr, et al

Hope this helps.
I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.
