The engine will be 615cc, would my best bet be to order a zx600 cvk32 needle and jet kit from factory pro
I believed the cvk carbs i thought where gpz600 are actually from a 1988-89 Australian zx900r, according to the needles and jets in them .
Using a set of ZR550 carb boots i have successfully fitted them to my 1982 GPZ550 h1 with factory airbox.

Take a pic of the carbs fitted on the bike. Curious to see this. As for jetting, I would just stay away from jet kits as they will only compound set confusion. Best to see how the bike runs as is first before modifying the jetting.

i set up my spare empty cases, block and head in the frame and test fitted the carbs. I am still waiting on parts for the actual engine i will be using
I wasn't expecting the air box to fit but there it is,
They also use a single pull cable instead of the push/pull arrangement on the 600's

I have been running the CV32 from a ZX600C for years, and using the ZR550 Intake Holders. You will need to belnd the ID of the intake holders on the carb side, as the ID of the ZR's CV30 Carbs are smaller than the CV32. Outside diameter of CV30 and CV32 are the same and carb spacing is the same on these carbs. Both use the same throttle cables, so either ZR or ZX600C throttle assembly will work. I had Motion Pro make me a custom Rev2 Throttle Kit. Love it!

Current engine is K&N Pods, and all else ZX550 with 4-1 Exhaust. Cam timing is stock ZX550 Exhaust and KZ550 Intake, using ZX550 Cams.

I read your post too fast, and just now caught that you have CV34 Carbs from a 900. You'd be the first I know if you wanted to tune them to your H Model with Air Box. I'd suggest usnig the ZX600 and I have used Dynojet Kits with good results in the past. Because I am running Pod Filters, your jetting with the air box will be different.

I'd recommend buying a wide band and tune for road use. I've posted this before but here is what I have yet to install. A good friend of mine has been using his Wide Band to tune his CV32 Carbs to his 12:1 615cc and Web Cam Engine. He is such a good friend, that he will not help me with additional jetting questions on my set up, till I have the LC1 installed. He says using it will answer most of my questions. LOL!!!

In this picture, I am using the needles on the right with shims added. Tomorrow I will have the carbs off, and will list my current settings.

Hi Corey. Awsome Its because of you that i knew about this carb swap . Thanks
These are CV32 ZX900 carbs, check out the attachment in my first post, australian 900's got the 32s.
i thought i was getting a 600 set. clues are black paint, single pull cable. jets, needles
I just cant see that 90 main being any good for power, but maybe im wrong

I think my engine specs are going to be similar to yours other than the K&N Pods. Maybe down the track, but for now its going to be a modified airbox with UNI filters.

That interesting i didn't realize your using ZX600 needles. for some reason i though you had aftermarket needles .
the N27C needles look more like the N27L than those pointy 52Q's your using

yes wide band is in my future for sure , One of the guys i work with circuit races and uses a AEM to help dial in the carburettor on his racecar and swears by it.

I was always using the jet kit, then Gary started using the wideband, and found information about the shape of the needles. He went back to the pointy needle, and for street/backroad riding, those were the ones to use. All out racing will need different settings, but to tune the carbs to the engine for the street, or constant cruise is what we set for me. Doing a throttle chop then reading spark plugs is no way as accurate as getting real time readings. he is running a modified ZR550 Stock Exhaust with an aftermarket silencer. Here is his set-up when tuning only, as he removes the system and sensor after tuning is complete:

now that i have sorted the clutch i can get the carbs ready for tuning. so i have bought
o rings for the fuel and vent tubes
zx600 factory pro jet needle kit i found for half price
keyster gasket float valve kits
i think that should cover it other than a few more sets of mains
the engine has kz550 timed zx550a cams.
10.5:1 comression
4-1 exhaust
Modified stock airbox uni filters
I have also welded an O2 sensor bung onto the exhaust so i can use a LM2 to dial it all in.
Before I order some more mains should I also add some 38 pilots to the list. I see Cory is using 38's but the pilot airjets on his cvk32's are larger than my set or should I just wait and see how many turns the pilot screws end up needing.

Following this one.

You can use the standard 35 pilots, but having a set of next size up 38's might be needed if the readings deem necessary. I haven't used the Factory Pro Jets.

What is stamped on the needles you are showing on the right above? N27L???

I have found a difference in the CV32 Carb from the 1985-1992 ZX600C Era. The butterflies are shown in the two below, noting the little pin hole and lack of one in the other. Also there are not any air holes in the throat of the lower opening, also visible.

ok thanks Corey. I think i will get some just in case, i cant find anyone over here who sells new jets just used ones so i need to order them from over east or USA
The Factory pro needles are 0964g-76p-40t.2 for richer at 5000 to 7000 the recommend getting 0964g-72p-40t.2 needles
Think I going to bench set them to
110 factory pro main jet - not sure what the equates too
Factory pro needle - clip in middle groove third from the top
35 pilot jet- what's in it already
Pilot screw 2 turns out - std.

these 32's dont have holes in the butterflys and all look identical with 3 bleed holes.
edit. using phone so photo is not the best
