...I just picked up a 1981 GPz1100.

...I was wondering if there was any way to adjust, or fine tune the fuel injection system? It runs very well. I just think it could run a little better and smoother from a standing start.

...If anyone has any insight on the fuel injected 1100, I'd appreciate any advice I can get.

...Besides get a shop manual. I'm workin' on that. Thanks! :)

...No one? With all the great minds we have here at KZR?

...No one has any experience with fuel injected Kawasaki's?

...This has to be a 1st, stumping the KZR Clan!

...Amazing!

Not too sure about the 1100 but I've heard of the Gpz750 Turbo owners running Dynojet PowerCommander III's on them. May want to get in touch with Lorcan on here.

Not sure about the 1981 model but the 1982 model had an inherent stumble between 3000 and 4000 rpm. This was addressed by one of our members (Mike Folks) in a post...I'll look for it tonight.

...That's one impressive wheel he has.

...The only thing is, I'm trying to figure out if I can tune and improve on what's there. Not replace what's there. For some reason I have this thing about staying original.

...Funny, because when I was a kid, I felt compelled to do anything but keep 'em original. Talk about a complete 180!

...I find I get a little stumble when trying to gently pull away. Pulls like a son of a bitch when you hop on it, though. Then again, I've only put about a 150 miles on it so far. Been raining for the last two frackin' weeks here! I though the injectors might need a little cleaning. The bike has been sitting for quite a while.

...I'd definitely be interested in reading that post. Thanks!

Read this thread to get some ideas regarding the FI issues with the early GPz's.
