Mikuni 29mm Smoothbore air filters needed

I just bought a set of mikuni 29mm smoothbores to go along with my 1975 Z1b 900. I am looking for a air filter setup. The stock box is no longer around as it originally had pods. I don't mind going back to pods, but need to know which ones would go well with the smoothbore setup. I checked out dynoman and have been in research of this topic for a long time but really can't find good solid ground on which setup to go with. Any thoughts?

SHNITZ RACING. Nice quality K&N type copies, but much less expensive!! NOT the cheezy EMGO, either! Order them for a Z-1 or KZ1000 as they are the same I.'D. size.

I have a set of the APE filters ..... They Look very nice and seen to be gd quality ....are these any good ? Also are they suppose to be oiled ? Thanks.

1980 KZ750 cam, ape springs, stock clutch/ Barnett springs.
Vance and Hines Header w/ comp baffle and Ape pods, Dyna S and green coils, copper wires.
29MM smooth bores W/ 17.5 pilots, 0-6s and 117.5 main
16/42 gearing X ring chain and alum rear JT sprocket.

You might want to try the taperef pods, they fit the z1 side covers better.

For a hundred dollars, I got a set, on Amazon, of the k and n filters. Very nice price.
