Supercharger

There is a Faegol Supercharger for sale in Kijiji for $400.00 that fits a GSXR,KZ, needs carburetor and some fabricating to install, does anyone know if you have to do any internal motor modifications in order to be able to run this thing?
I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

Ideally as with any other form of tuning i would advise that the motor is in good condition with the addition of a welded crank and a drop in compression to around 8 to 1.
Basically the engine will need the same upgrades as you would do if running a turbo.

Thanks for advise, sounds like a lot of work. I think I am going to keep it stock and put the $400.00 on something else.

:woohoo: pistons and a welded crank or welded crank and j head.... thats not bad. your not going to spend a better 400 anywhere on your bike. even a set of flatsides wont get you where the charger will.

If the following ink does not work find Kijiji for Toronto - any GTA location and type Supercharger in the search box looking in Motorcycles.\\http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-motorcycles-motorcycle-parts-accessories-SUPERCHARGER-PROJECT-FOR-GSXR-KZ-GS-W0QQAdIdZ443580926
