Every time I pull the vacuum caps on the carb holders to check sync they are full of fuel, is this normal? Just struck me as odd given this is my first carb'd inline 4 motor. Motor is a 78 1000 with vm26 carbs, thanks

If the vacuum ports are underneath the carb holders/ manifolds, then fuel will end up there. Normal.

I wonder if the ethanol in fuel will have any effect on the rubber caps? not really worried about it, just a thought.

I haven't seen it bother any of the Factory caps yet. They seem to hold up to the Deathanol, like the choke plungers and diaphragms. Pretty tough stuff, as there are a lot of fuel components being eaten by the crap.
