Lots of good info on kawasaki.com, including parts diagrams, part names, part numbers, models sharing same part, availability, etc. Here's a link for help with navigating the site and finding information.

sounds like you got the carb issue figured out, but I had the same bike. The pilot passages on these can be a pain in the butt. You just have to make sure the three holes at the edge of the throttle butterfly and the one hole up near the intake to the motor are super clean. If you haven't drill out the little plug covering up your air/fuel screw, pull it out and use large amounts of carb cleaner and compressed air to blow through there.

Just when you think you've got them clean, repeat. Mine took about 4 good cleanings, then it ran like a top. Also, make sure that the little plastic plug in the bowl fits nice and snug and seals. If that thing leaks I noticed it caused issues. These carbs are kind of a pain for getting parts (especially the diaphragms) and a pain to clean, but they sure work nice and smooth once they are in good working order.

If poor carb performance in the lower throttle range persists, could try adding a carb cleaner such as "SeaFoam" to the gasoline, which might help clean the pilot circuits.

This diagram may help:

If needed, the plug/cap is available from Z1 Enterprises.
