I don't have the correct tool to measure the float level in my 79 Kz750 twin. Is there another way? I have the clear hose....
Does anybody know how many cc's of fuel is correct for each bowl?

After searching I found another way... But i'd still like to know the amount of cc's needed in each bowl.

I don't know why you need the cc's, unless you're working on a special project..

If you just want to set the floats to the proper level, the manual tells you the distance to set the fuel level from the carb body. Use the clear hose and jam it in the drain screw opening. You don't need the "Special Kawasaki Tool" .

If you need to know the cc's, then set the floats the proper way, shut off your fuel supply, and catch the gas coming out of the drain screw.

I have never seen a spec for the cc's of fuel in the fuel bowl.

No biggie... My best friend (MC mechanic) wanted to know. We used the manual and set the carbs to 5 mm. It made a big difference. I still have that frickin popping on decel though.... Still workin on that.

Somebody taught me an unprofessional way of setting the floats that works perfect for me so far: You flip the carb upside down without the bowls on, then adjust the floats by measuring from the gasket surface to the bottom of the float (which is not the top since it is upside down). I adjusted my floats to 25mm from the gasket surface and it is perfect. Your results may vary, but I never have to use the get-gass-all-over-float-tool-method...
