Just throwong this out there.

I know theres clear float bowls for offroad applications and some might be interchangeable, but: Has anybody found direct swaps for VM, BS series Mikunis, or Keihins?

Would be cool and easy for diagnosis.

Probably an unknown item to motorcycle riders on this forum. I'd wonder on how durable they would be to todays fuels as some plastics are attacked by the Ethanol mixes:

Ethanol In Gasoline Problems

Certain materials commonly used with gasoline may be incompatible with high-level ethanol blends, causing them to degrade and contaminate the fuel. Metals that have been shown to degrade over time in the presence of high-level alcohol blends include brass,(floats & jets) lead, zinc(carb bodies) and lead-based solder.

Nonmetallic materials that degrade when in contact with ethanol include natural rubber, polyurethane, cork gasket material, leather, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) polyamides, and certain thermoplastic or thermoset polymers.

On the other hand, unplated steel, nickel-plated steel, stainless steel, black iron and bronze have shown resistance to ethanol corrosion, with nonmetallic materials like reinforced fiberglass, Buna-N, Neoprene rubber, polypropylene, nitrile rubber, Viton and Teflon meeting acceptable usage standards with E85.

Someone bought some clear bowls at a garage sale, either on here or the 650info board for the stock carbs, 650 I think.
Been a while.
So they were available.

Here is one I made solely for testing the for seat leaking and float levels.

I know you're looking for exact clear replicas of the originals. That would be really cool. I would love to have a set if you find them.

In this video clip you can see it fill up at the 3:45 minute mark.

Right! these are the clear bowls I'm talkin about. just cant seem to find any anywhere that fit to my applications, other than dirtbike.

I think thier ok with ethanols, but from my experience new gasses tend to make clear plastics white after a while. I'd be inclined to test that theory though.

I like the homemade fuel bowl setup there. I have done similar in the past for setting fuel heights. Works great.

Good stuff all!

Thnx - and if I find some/links, I will be sure to post.
