convert vaccuum petcock to standard petcock

Another quick question. My 650 has a leaky vaccuum actuated petcock. I have never been a fan of the vaccuum type, so I was wondering, can I just replace it with a standard ON/OFF petcock such as a pingel? Or is my carburettor designed to work only with a vaccuum type?

If I can use a standard ON/OFF petcock, do you happen to know what size I need. I had a pingel on my previous KZ650 B1, so I know there is one that will fit. Thanks!

Be sure to plug the vacuum port on the carb if you go the manual route.

Thanks, those petcocks on Z1E look like a good alternative to the more expensive pingel.

I just upgraded from 26mm to 28mm carbs. on my 78 KZ1000 and I used Z1's manual petcock for the switch from vacuum and I gotta say it's a quality product at a great price!
